Township of Springwater / November 16, 2017 - Approximately 50 business owners gathered at Vespra Hills Golf Club on November 16 to attend the Springwater Business Breakfast.

The breakfast provided local entrepreneurs and business owners with the opportunity to network with one another, enjoy breakfast and learn about economic development initiatives within Springwater, including the Township’s first Community Improvement Plan.

Springwater launched the Community Improvement Plan in August 2017 to support local business and stimulate investment in the community. Through the program, the municipality is able to establish grants, loans, incentives and other programs to encourage private sector investment in development and renovation efforts.

The Community Improvement Plan in Springwater includes 8 programs, many of which are attractive to new and established businesses, including; a Façade Improvement Program, Signage Improvement Program, Development Charges Rebate program and more.

“The Township of Springwater recognizes that businesses are an integral part of our community,” says Mayor Bill French. “Hosting the Springwater Business Breakfast has allowed us to showcase what we’ve been working on to enhance and support the business community, while also providing the opportunity to learn about the needs and wants of our local businesses.”
