Learn to Run 5km (Trails)
Springwater has teamed up with MEC Barrie to host an 8-week trail running clinic at Tree Nursery Park. This gradual training program is designed to prepare participants to run 5km on trails over the course of 8 weeks. Participants often begin at different levels of fitness and are encouraged to complete each training session to the best of their ability.
No running experience is required. Weekly sessions will consist of a short class covering topics such as form, nutrition, injury prevention, GPS/Heart Rate, Making a Training Plan, Cross Training and more followed by a 25-45 minutes group run. A training plan will be provided to you at the first session outlining the entire clinic.

Commit to Fit
Commit to four weeks and discover the fitness regime that works for you!
½ hour of fitness sampling followed by ½ hour of yoga. Isabel Fernandes will guide you through different types of fitness styles including: circuit training, high intensity interval training, cardio and weights – followed with yoga stretches that will improve balance and flexibility.
Minesing Crushes Mondays
Presenting a new program that will make you sweat!! This class is a combination of plyometrics, kick-boxing and yoga! You WILL feel the burn. Please bring a water bottle and a yoga mat.
Sweat & Stretch
Sweat & Stretch is a 30 minute high-intensity workout (12 second intervals!) that really gets your heart pumping! The routine will always include cardio work and strength training – but different styles of interval training will be used to keep it fast-paced and fun, followed by a relaxing yoga session. Please bring 5-10 lbs weights, a mat and a water bottle.
Learn Pilates exercised in a safe and progressive class. Pilates strengthens abs and back and utilizes muscles to stabilize the core of the body. Proper breathing techniques and healthy lifestyle tips are taught weekly. Please bring a yoga or Pilates mat with you.
A variety of yoga styles will be taught throughout this program. Each style will encourage your body to move with freedom and strength. Then rest your soul and quiet your mind with blissful meditation and relaxation to finish each class. Please bring a mat.
Bring your own kettlebells and get some muscle – a strength workout for arms, abs, back and legs using easy to master moves and fun to follow music. All levels welcomed. Kettlebells and a mat are required. NOTE: This is a 30-minute class.
The Zumba® program fuses Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in a 60-minute calorie-burning, body-energizing workout! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat… and having fun!
Six-Pack and Wings (and other body parts)
With a variety of fun low impact cardio and strength workout programs we’ll surprise our bodies every week and never get bored! There is something different in every class – from the traditional group class format to circuit training using different tools, to classes featuring a combination of balance, mat Pilates, stretching, HIIT, drumming (a favourite!) and stability ball exercises. Please bring hand weights, a mat and water.
Yoga for Stress and Anxiety
A trauma-sensitive, gentle yoga
practice to help relieve the effects of physical and emotional trauma. The
practice is designed to reduce sympathetic (fight or flight) nervous system
activity and increase parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system
activity, resulting in a more balanced central nervous system for optimum
wellness. By transferring focus and attention to the body and breath, and
by the use of “feel good” props, this type of yoga practice can not only be an
effective stress reliever,
but also a natural way to ease symptoms of anxiety and depression.
