Council for the Township of Springwater are committed to providing local primary health care options for the community. To support this commitment, Council opened the Springwater Health Services Centre in July 2011.

South Georgian Bay Community Health Centre:
The Community Health Centre (CHC) provides a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner one day per week on Wednesday’s at the clinic. The clinic will be for registered clients of the Community Health Centre, with no walk-in services available. The CHC is currently accepting new clients.

The CHC is mandated to serve:
Youth in Potential, between the ages of 12 and 24,
Individuals or families experiencing poverty, housing and/or food security challenges,
Individuals or families experiencing mental health and/or addiction issues.
Individuals with any disability that presents a barrier to wellness or service access,
Isolated, fragile seniors, and
Individuals or families with no primary health care provider.
As demand for services grow at the Elmvale Site, the South Georgian Bay Community Health Centre will be evaluating additional services for the community. Clients will have access to a Nurse Practitioner at the Elmvale Site, and is supported by an entire health team at the Wasaga Beach location. Elmvale clients can access these services, not limited to: Diabetes Educator, Dietitian, Social Worker, Mental Health & Addictions Counsellor, Chronic Disease/Self Management Educator, Registered Nurses, Physiotherapy, Health Promotion, Youth Service Coordinator and Consulting Physicians.
LifeLabs Specimen Collection Services
LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services provides laboratory testing services, which help physicians and other healthcare professionals diagnose, treat, monitor and prevent disease in patients.
Mobile specimen collection services are available to anyone with a valid laboratory requisition form. This service is offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Appointments are not required.
