The Township of Springwater is a picturesque municipality within the County of Simcoe, Ontario and ranked 95th out of 417 cities in a list of 'Canada's Best Places to Live in 2017' by MoneySense. Springwater is conveniently located on the doorsteps of one of the busiest four-season recreation areas; less than 100 kilometres north of Toronto, between the urban centres of the City of Barrie and the Town of Wasaga Beach.

The Township of Springwater consists of both urban and rural communities, with a population of over 19,000 people. There are eight settlement areas, with Midhurst and Elmvale being the largest with a population of 3,100 and 2,300 respectfully. Other settlement areas include Snow Valley, Centre Vespra, Minesing, Anten Mills, Phelpston, and Hillsdale. The Township continues to grow with multiple residential developments and commercial/industrial plans proposed throughout the municipality. 

Access to highway 400, 26, and 93, provides both easy transportation of materials and easy access for consumers, making Springwater a perfect location with a competitive advantage, for new and existing businesses.

Springwater offers an affordable and enviable lifestyle in a picturesque country setting. There are plenty of activities for people of all ages, from sports and recreational activities such as skiing, soccer, hockey and canoeing, to unique events like the Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival, Festival at the Fort, and Midhurst Autumnfest. Springwater’s significant agricultural presence is further enhanced by a number of agri-tourism or market-style businesses, as well as community activities, such as the Springwater-Elmvale Farmers’ Market and Elmvale Fall Fair.
