Flag Raisings 

Springwater Council has voted to allow flag raisings at the Township Administration Centre. A policy outlining the applications process and procedures for flag raisings will be brought forward at the next Council meeting.

2017 Year End Holiday Closure
The Township of Springwater Administration Centre will close for the holidays from Friday, December 22, 2017 at 4:30 pm and will reopen at 8:30 am on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Essential services, such as Public Works, Fire and Emergency Services and Recreation, Parks and Properties will continue to work on an as needed basis.

9 Mile Portage Improvements Tender
The contract for the Improvement of the Nine Mile Portage Heritage Trail was awarded to TDI International Ag. Inc. dba Eco Blue Systems at a cost of $51,093.63 inclusive of taxes. 

Station 2 / Yard 1 Renovations
The renovation of Station 2 / Yard 1 has moved along to the second phase of the process and includes undertaking a detailed design of the project, construction tendering, tender review and award recommendations, as well as construction administration.

The renovations include adding 2 new bays, renovating existing bays, interior alterations to the support area, new truck entrance and asphalt and the relocation of septic and hydro. 

Station 2 is being renovated for the use of Fire Services until a location can be secured for a new facility. When a new permanent Fire Hall has been constructed, Public Works and Parks and Recreation Department will take over the entire building.
