Celebrate Springwater Musicians

Township of Springwater / May 29, 2017 –
The Township of Springwater is celebrating Canada 150 with a signature event, Celebrate Springwater, on June 24 at the Township Administration Centre (2231 Nursery Road).

Celebrate Springwater is a free event and will include family and children’s activities, food trucks and entertainment. The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show taking place at 10:00 pm.

The event will feature live music throughout the evening including local musicians Rob Watts Band, and The Argues. The headlining act will be well-known CCMA- nominated Canadian artists the River Town Saints.

The River Town Saints is a 5-piece harmony-driven group with rock n' roll roots, and they have proven that a little heart (and a lot of work) does, in fact, go a long way. They released their debut single A Little Bit Goes a Long Way in late 2015, landing them on many "Artists to Watch Lists" for 2016. They released their highly anticipated second single Cherry Bomb in the spring of 2016 and their most recent single Bonfire is a fan-favourite going top 10 on Country Radio.  River Town Saints are due to release their highly-anticipated self-titled album on June 9.

“Canadians are gathering in communities from coast to coast this year, celebrating 150 years since the confederation of Canada,” says Mayor Bill French. “Springwater is proud to host an event that will bring our residents together to share in such a historic and significant occasion. We hope that everyone in the community comes out to enjoy the entertainment, partake in the activities and have a great time.”
