SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP / November 26, 2015 – The Canadian Pacific Railway Holiday Train will make a stop in Springwater Township at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1 at Highway 26 and Anne Street North.

The Holiday Train collects food and money for both the Elmvale Food Bank and the Barrie Food Bank and raises awareness in the fight against hunger. The Holiday Train provides a box car stage, a line-up of great musical talent and a corporate contribution to both Food Banks. Residents attending this event are encouraged to donate food and funds, all of which will stay in the local community.

The musical guests this year include Kelly Prescott and Devin Cuddy. Kelly is a country singer who has taken part in numerous US tours. Devin is a country singer who grew up the son of one of Canada’s most beloved singer/songwriters – Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy.

Now entering its 17th season, the CP Holiday Train has raised over $10.6 million and 3.6 million pounds of food has been collected for local food banks thanks to generous community support.
