Stonemanor Woods Groundbreaking (PDF)SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP / October 13, 2015 – Mayor French and members of Council were joined by representatives of Yorkwood Homes and Tribute Communities on Tuesday to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Stonemanor Woods subdivision in Springwater.

Construction on Phase One of the 660 home subdivision is expected to begin this week, with over 200 homes sold to date. Yorkwood Homes and Tribute Communities have been working with the Township of Springwater for approximately 10 years to ensure the development takes the natural landscape into consideration; as a result the subdivision retains existing woodlots and includes trail connections and 62 acres of open space and parkland, approximately 30% of the development area.

“We are pleased to have Yorkwood Homes and Tribute Communities join the Township of Springwater,” says Mayor Bill French. “Both of these companies are well-known for their quality craftsmanship and beautifully designed homes. We look forward to continuing our strong working relationship with them as this development moves forward.”

“Having two builders working together on all aspects of this project, shows how truly unique it is,” says Lucy Stocco, Tribute Communities. “The sense of community has always been paramount to this development and the environmental features including parks, trails and natural woodlots show just how important it is to us.”

“We are thrilled to begin construction on Stonemanor Woods,” says Norman Godfrey, Yorkwood Homes. “Drawing buyers from across southern Ontario, over 200 homes have been sold to date and these people will be calling the Township of Springwater home by Spring 2016.”
