SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP / October 8, 2015 – The Springwater Library is inviting seniors to come out and learn about a variety of interesting topics at a Seniors’ Fair on October 14, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Elmvale Branch.
The Fair is being hosted in conjunction with the Alzheimer Society’s “Coffee Break Campaign” and local organizations will be on hand to provide information and demonstrations related to health, travel, estate planning, recreation, banking safety and more.
The morning will feature two informative sessions – “Your Balancing Act” will include a hands-on demonstration related to improving balance and “Brain Health” will provide information on maintaining optimal mental health.
Participants include TD Canada Trust, Lynn-Stone Funeral Home, Everyday Foot Care, Hamilton Tours, Superior Home Health Care, Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, Home Instead, the South Georgian Bay Community Health Centre, Adult Day Program, The Gift Shoppe, Tax Returns for Low Income Seniors, Springwater Fire & Emergency Services, and the Springwater Community Policing Committee.
Coffee and baked goods will be provided, with all donations benefiting the Alzheimers Society.
